Life Studio offers Prenatal Pilates as a way for our clients to continue exercising through pregnancy and for those who wish to safely introduce a different approach to training in preparation for pregnancy and life beyond.

Prenatal Pilates is incredibly effective in targeting deep muscles which help the body maintain correct alignment as its structure changes, building endurance in preparation for birth and after. The benefits are many, including improved circulation, greater postural alignment, prevention of structural pain (in particular around pelvis and spine), faster postnatal recovery and control of excessive weight gain. Mentally it encourages body awareness, connection and control during pregnancy and birth. It also provides an important space to focus and decompress.


The transition back to training is just as important as the preparation before. Postnatal Pilates is vital in reconstructing internal muscle alignment and rebuilding strength and endurance in a safe and effective way.

I am qualified to work with you and your body’s needs to ensure safe and encouraging exercise after birth, to strengthen and to help energise your body for the journey into motherhood. Postnatal exercise is also a powerful tool to help manage baby blues and recreate, and build, body self-esteem on the other side of childbirth. At Life Studio we help you feel like you again.
